A very spooky greetings, everyone!

All Saints’ Wake is right around the corner, and I’m sure that many of you have already gotten the pumpkin rolling for designing or putting together your costumes. (I should probably get on that myself…)

If you’re a new adventurer in Eorzea (or perhaps you’re a veteran too enthralled in battle and didn’t pay it any heed last time), you might be curious as to what this seasonal event entails.

All Saints’ Wake gets deep…

Legend tells that, at the same time each year, the Twelve honor the saints by inviting them to the celestial realm for a feast of deific proportions. While this show of favor from the gods is no less than the saints deserve, in ascending to the heavens, they leave the mortal realm bereft of their divine protection. During this time, it is said that creatures of darkness come out from hiding to wreak havoc upon mortalkind, and with such gusto as if to make up for the rest of the year when their devilry is kept in check. Fearing for their safety, folk took to returning home before sunset and barricading themselves indoors with kith and kin until dawn arrived to banish the night.

Adventurers, however, could not be swayed by the threat of otherworldly terrors on the night of All Saints’ Wake. Ever wont to seek out danger, these brave souls stood fast against all who would threaten Eorzea’s people, and word of their deeds on this frightful night would embolden the townsfolk as years went by. In time, the people’s trepidations were laid to rest, and they learned to celebrate the Saints’ ascension to the heavens, rather than fear their absence. This newfound reverence for All Saints’ Wake flourished into an annual tradition celebrated throughout Eorzea.

This transformation is due in no small part to the Continental Circus, a traveling troupe of mummers committed to making All Saints’ Wake a holiday to remember.

This year too, the Continental Circus has returned for another year of frightful fun. Make sure to take part in the in-game event and enjoy the festivities to the full!

Whew. That was a mouthful! Now that everyone is on the same page, how about we take an eerily early look at the spook-tastic reward items? First up, the Witch’s Broom flying mount! Careful not to fly off the handle with excitement!

Glamours anyone? The lineup of equipment for the All Saints’ Wake is simply to die for! But no, really, you can customize them with the dye of your choice similar to the rewards for the Moonfire Faire.

There are many more reward items to look forward to for fighting the frights of this seasonal event, which I am sure you all will be dying to get your hands on.

The quest for All Saints’ Wake is available from level 20, so if you’re an experienced player, make sure to lead all the lost souls who just started the game through the quests!

Whether you soar through the skies on your broom or glamour up and bewitch other adventurers with your frighteningly good looks, make sure to enjoy All Saints’ Wake this year to the very fullest!
