Hope you’ve all been staying warm (unless, of course, you’re a Warrior of Light from the southern hemisphere) and that it hasn’t been too chilly. The temperature here is pretty frosty and hasn’t been particularly kind to my fingertips, so I’m typing this while enjoying a hearty cuppa – a guaranteed way to warm both your fingers and heart!
Speaking of hearts, Valentione’s Day is drawing near, so let’s take a sneak peek of the seasonal event and rewards coming to Eorzea!

❣ How to Participate
Our old friend, Astrid de Valentione, has returned! She will be awaiting your arrival at Mih Khetto’s Amphitheatre in Old Gridania (X:10.2 Y:9.4).
As you can already tell from this year’s theme, we’ll be seeing a lot of planters and trellises around, decked with an abundance of beautiful red roses.
❣ Event Rewards
▼ Emote: Bouquet
Have you ever thought of showing your devotion to your beloved with a sweet and elaborate gesture? Now is your chance!
Upon completing the seasonal event quest, you will receive the Bouquet emote where you’ll get down on one knee, whip out a huge, extravagant bouquet of roses, and declare your undying love. What’s more, this is a persistent emote, which means you’ll be kneeling until your target of affection finally (hopefully) says yes…
(And should you be the person receiving the bouquet, rest assured that there isn’t a figmental gun hidden among those flowers.)
If you pause the animation during group pose, you can also end up holding the bouquet in your hands like a florist!

There’s also a new poster showcasing last year’s seasonal event artwork that will be available as a housing item! This cheery, wall-mounted poster featuring Astrid and Emilie can be purchased from the House Valentione Maid near the amphitheatre once this year’s festivities begin.
If you’re a collector of shiny sparkles, the Prismatic Heart (Left) and Prismatic Heart (Right) seasonal miscellany items from previous events will be making a return, so be sure to stock up while you can!
