Speak with Jihli Aliapoh located in Old Gridania (X:10.2 Y:9.4) to hear what she has to say about Hatching-tide.
Jihli’s vision for this year’s celebration involves floating eggs. Considering the whole “wing” thing tends to happen after the egg has hatched, I can’t help but wonder what sort of whimsy that will entail…

Archon Egg Parasol
Getting the inevitable pun out of the way before we go any further, completing the event quest will net you this egg-cellent parasol!
If you take a closer look, you’ll notice that the top is adorned with a chocobo! So cute!
(*Please note, no chocobos were harmed in the making of this parasol)
Your chocobo will certainly be flattered by this addition to your tributary get-up ♪
And of course, it has function as well as style: this parasol will keep you dry on a rainy day!
The cheerful colors are sure to brighten up even the gloomiest of skies. (Bonus points if you shout “sunny side up” when you open it in the rain!)
Don’t forget that the city-states are all decked out for the occasion, too.

Finally, you may have noticed that this year’s illustration features familiar characters.
As explained during the recent Letter from the Producer LIVE broadcast, our artists have drawn seasonal event illustrations with the same motifs for many years. So, to provide our artists with new artistic inspiration, we’ve refreshed the theme to allow for main scenario characters in seasonal event artwork moving forward.
I’m sure Yda and Papalymo would have a blast during Hatching-tide ♥
