Hello everyone!
Patch 5.1 is here, and we hope you’re enjoying it so far! There’s so much to do and experience, but we wanted to take a moment to remind you of some new features added to the group pose function.
(Be sure to click each image to view the full size!)
Utilize Group Pose While Riding on Another Player’s Mount
Ever wanted to strike a pose while your friend was chauffeuring you around? Well, now you can! Have them make their own pose beforehand for maximum effect! This feature is available for both two-person and four-person mounts. Keep in mind that if the player operating the mount moves that it will cancel group pose. Be sure to tell them to hold still!
Now you can have that one friend who is missing their aether currents capture a memory from your travels while you’re giving them a lift! Wouldn’t want them to forget how great a friend you are after all, right?
Adjust the Character Lighting within the Group Pose Menu
Until now, character lighting adjustments were only possible via the System Configuration menu, but now you can adjust it directly from the group pose menu!
With this you can ensure your character is crystal clear while attempting some darker landscape or action shots!
Manually Adjust the Brightness Setting
Screen brightness can also be adjusted in the group pose menu! On the flip side, if you wish to tone down the brightness while taking some selfies in the sun, you can do so!
Character Display Settings Added
This is probably the coolest feature in this round of updates! You can now manually turn displays of specific characters on or off! You have the option to hide yourself, other players, NPCs, companions, pets, minions, and even enemies!
You ever wander out into the world and find the most picturesque landscape while adventuring? You get a pose ready but then…
Argh and now a FATE appeared! So much for that! Let’s just shift around the area a bit and…
Ugh, there are regular enemies walking around in the background… can’t I catch a break? Time to fix this!
With these new settings, you can simply turn off the display of the enemies and voila! Perfect shot of me and my trusty minion.
Alternatively, if you have a hankering to capture some of the breathtaking landscapes out in Eorzea, you can now do so without having to rely on the 1st person mode! This looks like it’ll be my next desktop wallpaper!
The possibilities are endless! You can even get together with your friends to take adorable screenshots of your minions on a journey! The little Warriors of Light all banded together! <3
Here are a couple more screenshots the team has taken using the new features.
I have a feeling your next /gpose session is in the very near future, perhaps even now! We hope you enjoy the latest features and that they help you up your screenshot taking game, whether you’re in The Copied Factory, The Grand Cosmos, or Il Mheg! Have fun!
