FFXIV News - Dev Blog: Checks and Balances

A new post full of FFXIV: Heavensward information has now been released by Square Enix. The information from the dev blog is quoted below.

Happy Patch Day, everyone!
Camate here welcoming in Patch 3.2, The Gears of Change!

While I'm sure many of you have already explored a lot of the patch in the late hours of the night already, I'd like to share the adventures of Yoshi-P and crew as they dove deep into the dungeons to perform their final checks prior to the launch of the patch.

Yoshi-P assembled the most elite crew Eorzea would ever see: Takai, Suzuki, select members of the battle team, and Project Manager M, and they set off to go head first into the two new dungeons and the new raid to test the peril firsthand.

▼Alexander: Midas

Even though the party consisted of the core development team members and battle team members, one of the areas gave them a run for their money and they continued to wipe. Despite their hardships, I hear the battles were really fun!

▼The Antitower

Yoshi-P went monk for this dungeon check, giving his black magic powers a short break. He mentioned the importance of testing out various jobs other than his main to make sure everything is perfectly balanced.

▼Lost City of Amdapor (Hard)

Project Manager M was white mage for the checks, and it seems like she was sleeping on the job in Lost City of Amdapor (Hard)!

Yoshi-P, who was actually testing from home because of the flu, spoke with the battle team in chat and gave them his feedback after clearing the content. There really is no rest for the wicked.

I hope you are all enjoying Patch 3.2!

-Camate (Looking for a way to dodge Bayohne and leave the office to get a head start on the content...)
