From the Dev Blog.

Hello, this is Voltenyne from the community team!

The long awaited SHADOWBRINGERS: FINAL FANTASY XIV Original Soundtrack is available for purchase! Now we can take the Rak’tika Greatwood theme with us anywhere!

Let’s take a look at some of the details.

Product: 1 Blu-Ray Disc
Price: $49.99 (+tax)

This soundtrack includes tracks from Shadowbringers, as well as the tracks featured in Patch 4.4 – 4.5 of Stormblood, for a total of 88 tracks!

The audio is recorded on a Blu-Ray disc at a high quality 96kHz/24bit, and is accompanied by visuals! Great care was taken to emphasize the world and music of FFXIV, going as far as to select specific scenes and weather effects to achieve the perfect mood. The impact of the powerful audio and visual combination might just strike you with the force of a Stonecrusher and cause Tidal Waves to gush forth from your eyes!

Okay, not really… but we hope that these amazing tracks will bring back precious memories of your experiences in Shadowbringers.

The disc also includes 320kbps high-quality MP3 files. Load them into your phone and listen to FFXIV’s soundtrack wherever you go! Check out the special site for the album’s tracklist and details on how to obtain the MP3 files.

With 88 tracks, the total playback time is over 6 hours long! That’s a lot of music!
Take a look at the following digest videos, which feature 3-second snippets of each track!

Tracks from Patch 4.4 ~ 4.5

Tracks from Patch 5.0

And now for the bonus content!
We’ve included footage of the THE PRIMALS performing Locus, as well as the infamous “I play Yanxia” otomatone performance of A Father’s Pride by Sound Director Masayoshi Soken!
Not sure what you’re in for? Have another sneak peek at the video below:

The disc also includes the “Soken’s Comment” section, as well as notes from Yoshi-P and Soken in the booklet.
Both are definitely worth a look!

And finally, the soundtrack comes with an in-game item code for the wind-up Suzaku minion as an initial print run bonus!

“Please, my love… if only you would listen… to the Shadowbringers soundtrack!”

As a side note, we’ve recently announced the sale date for FINAL FANTASY XIV Orchestral Arrangement Album Vol. 2, going on sale on September 18! You’ll want to keep your eyes (ears?) peeled for that as well!

La hee!
