FFXIV News - Dev Blog: Fly Eastward, Yoshida
New FFXIV information is available on the dev blog from today. You can read the news in the quote below.

Greetings, everyone!
Bayohne here, coming to you all LIVE from PAX East 2015 in Boston!

Here’s a small peek at the show floor (and you can see the Square Enix booth packed with people directly under the Shiva banner).

You might be thinking the booth “looks a bit plain, doesn’t it?” Well, there’s actually a tragic reason for its appearance. You see, the truck carrying our entire booth set up became stuck in the snow on the way to the event. It should have been only delayed a day, but ended up getting into another accident which meant it didn’t arrive at all… Seems Shiva didn’t appreciate our battle challenge theme.

Luckily, we shipped our other things like PCs and games separately and they arrived just fine. WHEW!

Here you can see players inside the convention center doing battle with another form of cold—Shiva! It was great seeing so many people wearing the moogle and fat chocobo head bands, too.

Those able to defeat the Lady of Frost were awarded with the awesome “I BEAT SHIVA” t-shirt! Here I am, after beating up an attendee and stealing their shirt. Also pictured are a pack of the art cards we gave away to all of the Heavensward panel attendees.

Here’s a look at the insane line of 1,000+ people waiting to attend the Heavensward presentation! Yoshida was really excited to finally have a chance to meet East Coast fans!

We tried to fit everyone into this picture, but it was impossible! The room was truly massive.

We were lucky to have such a large display that even people in the back could see!

If you watched the stream live (and I hope you did!), you saw us reveal a brand-new trailer! If you haven’t (for shame!) check it out!

FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward will release on June 23, 2015! And early access is set to begin on June 19!

Stay tuned in April because we’ll be releasing the brand-new benchmark software to give your PCs a workout! As Yoshida is known to say, “Please look forward to it!”
