Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu has released a batch of Final Fantasy XIV screenshots of various aspects of Limsa Lominsa. Limsa Lominsa is a busy port town with important shipping routes. You can see that there are a number of shops that sell various items, ranging from potions to armour. The starter city is the only one available in the alpha version of the game so this is why we are seeing lots of information about this city and nothing from the other ones.
