More FFXIV: Heavensward info appeared on the dev blog today. Read on for all the new details.

Greetings, everyone!

Another year has come and gone, and the Starlight Celebration arrives this week to close out 2015 with a nice infusion of holiday spirit!

For this year's Starlight Celebration, the development team came up with another way of turning your characters into reindeer, so let's take a look at some of the cool items you can obtain from the seasonal event!

If adventuring around Eorzea as a certain well-known reindeer has been your dream, we've got you covered!

Both the nose and the antlers can be dyed, so feel free to be a reindeer of a different color!

Winter is coming, and we also have equipment to keep your hands nice and toasty!

Finally, you can't be a true reindeer without a good pair of hooves!

And of course, they too can be dyed!

In addition to all of these great items, there's also the Saint's Cap and Saint's Beard to fill the realm with merriment this Starlight Celebration.

Finally, ornaments as well as a tree will be available for a limited-time, so be sure to pick them up to illuminate the interiors of your home and room. The tree even comes pre-decorated with lights that blink and slowly change color!

I'm looking forward to seeing how everyone celebrates this year!

The Starlight Celebration kicks off this Friday, and full details can be found on the Starlight Celebration page.

One last thing!

We'll also be holding a four-panel comic contest that coincides with the Starlight Celebration and is themed after the seasonal event. The best entries will be awarded with the exclusive Noble Barding! With all the great items available this year, I'm sure we'll see some very entertaining entries!

Contest details will be announced on Friday as well on Lodestone and other avenues, so get ready for the holiday fun!
