Famitsu and Game Watch have both posted new articles with screenshots on their websites. The Famitsu article goes into detail about Limsa Lominsa and its guilds plus retailers, while the Game Watch article goes into detail about how parties will function, some monsters you will encounter and Limsa Lominsa’s shops and NPCs. As the articles are in Japanese, we’re going to link you to a couple of translations provided at FFXIV Core.

What we will provide you with is 98 new screenshots that the magazines have taken while playing in the beta. The first 50 are from the Famitsu article while the last 48 are from Game Watch. As always, the screenshots are available in our galleries and a larger version can be found by clicking the image.

Square Enix has posted a new video on Youtube showing how parts of the game was made. You can see actors performing actions which are digitalised using motion capture technology and then the in-game result. It is certainly interesting for anyone who likes to know what goes into developing a game like Final Fantasy XIV.

The #1 in the title suggests it will be a series of videos, however we’ve yet to see a #2 of the Life in Eorzea video we posted earlier in the year.

Unfortunately the English version of the video on Youtube is broke and unwatchable, so we have had to post the Japanese version. It’s better than nothing and we will certainly update the article if the English version is fixed.
