You are probably aware that a lot of information on FFXIV Info is outdated 1.23 info. This applies to the Disciplines, Item DB, Crafting, Materia and World categories. The reason for this is because we are under a strict Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) until phase 3 of the beta. We are unable to update skill lists or recipes etc. while the NDA is in place. Even if it were not there we would still be limited since the previous betas have only featured one of three starting areas. Minus videos, the NDA will be lifted for phase 3 so we should be able to begin these updates. As I’m sure you can understand this is a huge task so we will be prioritizing.

Item DB
The reason the item DB is penciled in as low priority is because the method we and other item DB websites used to create the item DB in FFXIV 1.0 does not work in FFXIV: ARR. We can’t do this manually as it would take forever and the tool that creates what we need has to be updated for ARR. Once this is done we can update the item DB. It may be that this gets move to medium priority and above crafting but for now we can’t promise it will exist quickly, and we feel it right to be open about this.
The aim is to have everything on this list completed by launch (so that we can enjoy the game too!), with high priority updates during the early part of phase 3. With the new crafting log in-game we are doubtful that people will feel the need to look up recipes on websites but it will still exist and we are thinking about changing the design of the recipe listing to be more tabular in the way of the item DB.
