Greetings, adventurers!
Some time has passed since the 14-hour broadcast we hosted in celebration of FINAL FANTASY XIV’s 5th anniversary, but we hope you caught some of the action!
A while back, we called out to our Warriors of Light with a request to cast votes in the Fan Favorite Music Poll. If you recall, players had to narrow down to a top ten out of 393 songs across A Realm Reborn, Heavensward and Stormblood. This proved to be quite a challenge for many! The votes were cast and tallied, and we were pleased to announce the results during the anniversary broadcast!
Let’s go over the top ranked songs, in case you missed it.
Number 1: Wayward Daughter
Number 2: Dragonsong
Number 3 (Tie): The Worm’s Tail
Number 3 (Tie): Rise
Number 5: Heroes
We found it quite surprising that out of all the votes we received, The Worm’s Tail and Rise still managed to tie for third place!

We’d like to thank everyone who participated in the poll, and we hope you find your favorites among the top 50. (Meanwhile, I’ll be over here grumbling that Ultima should have been higher than 13. I love Ultima!!)
But that’s not all! Sound Director Masayoshi Soken has done it again, deciding that he would arrange some of the top ranked music into chiptune versions. He actually arranged three of them live during the broadcast!
(He had to put his headphones on so that he could focus amidst the celebration in the background!)
If you missed the broadcast, don’t fret. These tracks aren’t lost!
We’re pleased to announce that the top 50 tracks selected by Warriors of Light across the realm will be compiled into a brand-new compilation album:
FINAL FANTASY XIV – The Best (Blu-ray Disc Music)
In addition to these top 50 tunes, you’ll find Soken’s chiptune versions of Wayward Daughter, The Worm’s Tail and Rise & Heroes Medley (tentative name) as bonus tracks. And of course, we had to include the beloved Answers as a bonus track too! (*Answers itself was not listed in the music poll.)
