Marauder (MRD) Abilities, Traits, Combos and Materia

FFXIV - Disciples of War - Marauder

The marauder is a combat specialist whose weapon of choice is the greataxe—a fearsome arm emblematic of Eorzea's pirates. Their approach to battle is one of brute force, relying on strength and steel to crush enemies and sunder weapons.

They are highly sought after for their ferocity and intimidating presence, and are often employed to hunt down monsters plaguing the land, or to turn the tide of battle between warring nations. Throwing axes such as the francisca supplement the marauders' arsenal, making them fearsome adversaries even at range.

Below is a list of current actions and traits for the Marauder class as of beta phase 3 of FFXIV: A Realm Reborn and the levels they are earned. FFXIV: ARR has seen many changes to the battle system over what was in 1.23.

By completting quests the Marauder can become a Warrior.

Abilities


Abilities are actions that the Marauder can equip to their bar and select to use at any time as long as their timer is available. Actions used in a combo will generate additional damage and effects.

Deliverys an attack with a potency of 250. Can only be executed when target's HP is below 20%.

The Marauder class has the following combos which can be executed. These will give extra damage and effects.

Traits


Traits are not abilities and can not be equipped to your bar. They are just earned as you level up and are always active. As a result they require 0 cast time and have a 0 MP and TP cost. They are also all exclusive to the marauder class and its job Warrior.

To get the most out of your Marauder, you should aim to maximise their stats through using materia that best benefits the class. A marauder's main attributes are STR and VIT, so focusing on these will be beneficial. Below is a list of materia that we recommend you aim for.
