Haukke Manor Hard Mode is an end-game dungeon that players use to farm Tomestones of Mythology; you earn 50 for completing it. You will also get 100 Tomestones of Philosophy for your efforts. The dungeon becomes accessible upon completion of the main scenario quest Maniac Manor.
Below is a detailed boss guide for each of the three bosses within the dungeon. Between bosses there are no mechanics to be aware of other than the fact some monsters will drop keys to open doors along the way.
Manor Jester
This fight is fairly simple and follows the basic pattern of DPS the boss, and kill any adds that spawn. The adds in the fight are skeletons and will appear at certain times. They are weak enough that a tank does not have to worry about getting them; they will die fast. Towards the end of the fight a giant Manor Steward skeleton may appear if DPS has been low and it is recommended that the tank pick this up but everyone ignore it and finish off the boss with a limit break.
Ice patches will appear on the ground at some point in the fight, simply do not stand in them. Throughout the fight Manor Jester will use Void Blizzard on a random target and healers need to be aware of the Slow debuff that is applied on this player. They should be ready to remove it with Esuna.
Ash
The main mechanic in this fight is the constant dodging required. Blue effects will light up the floor in different patterns around the room and you must be aware of where to run. The first safe spot is near the door you entered from, while the next is towards the boss end of the room. After that try to remain around the middle of the room for the best chance of escaping the effects. If they hit you they can inflict Silence on you. Due to casting interrupts this fight can be tricky for mages so don’t forget to make use of your ability to hit Sprint and not worry about TP loss.
One other thing to be aware of in the room are the spinning scythes that appear. These will deal damage and knock you back if you are in them, so keep away from these when dodging the AoE.
The boss itself is just a case of dealing damage between the AoEs described above, and prioritising the adds that will start spawning from around 25% of the boss’ HP. The boss will also cast Paralyze on random party members at this point so the healer needs to be ready to remove it with Esuna.
Halicarnassus
The adds are the most important mechanic in this fight. There will be four adds in total, however two of them appear at once so lets call it three add phases. In the first phase (around 75% of boss HP) a Manor Sentry will spawn on the far right of the room. In the second two Manor Handmaidens will spawn (around 50% boss HP) on each side of the room’s entry point. In the third phase (around 25% of boss HP) Lady Amandine will spawn on the far left of the room. She is the boss from Haukke Manor normal mode.
With these adds the tank should try position the boss close to where the adds will spawn so that he or she can pick them up quickly. These are DPS races and need to be killed as soon as possible. Halicarnassus will eventually absorb the adds and the amount of HP they have left will determine the strength of the Blood Rain Halicarnassus uses afterwards. Lady Amandine has the most HP so the group should use their two bar limit break on her as soon as they can. It can be killed without a limit break but it certainly helps.
Once all three adds have spawned the healer and ranged DPS should spread out and stay away from the boss. When melee DPS see the red pulse it is time for you to move away too. This means she is about to use Beguiling Mist; an unavoidable AoE charm. Players will be unable to move or attack for the few seconds they are under this and will begin walking towards the boss. The boss will target a player with Void Fire IV which deals heavy damage, and this is why spreading out was important as it is AoE.
The boss itself is nothing to worry about, just like the others it is a case of dealing damage to it while correctly dealing with the additional mechanics of the fight.
