Amdapor Keep Hard Mode is an end-game dungeon added during patch 2.5. It requires an item level of 90 or above to enter and rewards players with ilevel 100 equipment. The dungeon is found within the South Shroud area and is accessible upon completion of Amdapor Keep normal mode and the quest “The Ultimate Weapon”. You can then take on the quest “For Keep’s Sake”, which is given by Lauriane in Mor Dhona (X:22, Y:8).
Boss Guide
Amdapor Keep Hard Mode contains three bosses, called Anchag, Boogyman and Ferdiad. Below is a guide for each of them.
Anchag
At the start of the fight you will notice there are four statues in the arena. These are key to the main mechanic of the fight. The mechanic begins with a red arrow above a random player’s head. This player must then run and hide behind a statue because the boss is about to attach a tether to the player, which when finished will deal a large amount of damage and apply Vulnerability Up. The statues will shield you from the damage. However you should take care to avoid standing behind a damaged statue.
Another mechanic the boss has is called Valfodr. This is a long line AoE pointed at one player. You can’t avoid it and the line will grow if you move further away from it. This will be a charge style attack from the boss that hits you for a moderate amount of damage and knocks you back.
The boss will also use other AoEs however these are pretty simple to get out of. What you do need to be aware of is that if any AoEs hit the statues, including Valfodr, they will damage or even destroy the statues. You don’t want this since you need them for the main mechanic.
Boogyman
The main mechanic for this boss is that he will go invisible on a few occasions during the fight. While invisible you will be unable to target him and thus unable to damage him. To get him back from invisible you must make use of the Luminescence orbs on the ground.
Upon killing a Luminescence a small circle will appear where it died and standing in it will give you a short buff that allows you to remove invisible from the boss. To do so you must be stood next to the boss when your debuff wears off.
At around 30% Boogyman will split into two. The strategy is the same, except the group needs to split up to ensure both parts of him are revealed.
During the fight multiple Bloodmoon Sacrifice adds will spawn. These are fairly easy to dispose of but they will apply a Bleed effect on you.
The boss also has a wide frontal cone attack so you should take care to not stand in front.
Right after the second boss you will have an encounter with the Demon Wall. This is a DPS check and you will have around 3 minutes to clear all the trash. It’s fairly easy unless your DPS is terrible.
Ferdiad
The main mechanic for this fight is called Wild Card. Three Wicked Jester adds will spawn and be tethered to the boss. During it Ferdiad will cast an AoE that gradually gets larger and larger until it consumes the whole arena. You must kill all three adds before this happens otherwise the group will take a massive amount of damage.
Ferdiad also has a mechanic called Jester’s Reep, which is a frontal cone that is easy to avoid on its own. However while charging this attack Ferdiad will have trapped a player inside a Suppuration add making them unable to move. The rest of the group should free the player so that they can get out of Jester’s Reep.
Later in the fight Ferdiad will summon an add called Troubadour which is tethered to him. A player will also be trapped by Suppuration. The Troubadour has more HP than the Suppuration adds and the tether will make the boss stronger while it exists. If you don’t kill the Troubadour add before the Wild Card AoE goes off the group will wipe.
There will also be a couple of AoEs to dodge, such as the spinning scythe attack you may recognise from Haukke Manor Hard as well as line AoEs that are easy to move out of.
