FFXIV News - Dev Blog: Hatching-tide Over Easy

More FFXIV: Heavensward info appeared on the dev blog today. Read on for all the new details.

Greetings, everyone!

With the conclusion of Little Ladies' Day, Eorzea now changes gears (yes, I am still making patch 3.2 jokes) to the Hatching-tide seasonal event, which sends adventurers scrambling to find ovoid objects of different colors and patterns.

Eggs have been strewn about the city-states for decoration, and adventurers can quickly feel the spirit of the festival with the brilliant and pastel colors.

This year Jihli Aliapoh will once again make a grand appearance, and word has it that there will be some kind of egg-citing mini-game!

If you're planning to partake in the festivities, you'd best prepare your baskets for a batch of egg-cellent reward items!

First up is the Egg Hunter barding! Saddle up your chocobo with the bright blue barding so it can aid you on your hunt for eggs. (I'll be honest, that chocobo doesn't look like it appreciates the outfit.)

Next is the Archon egg tower! Celebrate your love for eggs and the Hatching-tide event by putting this colorful monument in your garden.

Finally, it will be possible to add some new tunes to your orchestrion collection as we'll be adding sheet music 047, which is for none other than the song that is nearly impossible to get out of your head once you hear it...

Throughout the event, this infamous tune will be echoing through the city-states, and now you can make it endless by playing it on loop in your homes!

Oh no! Now I'm singing it, and I can even hear Bayohne humming it in his office as well! It's only a matter of time until the entire office is chanting those three syllables.

Eorzea becomes hard-boiled on March 15 at 1:00 a.m. (PDT)/8:00 a.m. (GMT), and the seasonal event site goes live on March 14!

Last one to the event is a rotten egg!
