FFXIV News - Dev Blog: Fan Festival 2014 in London!
Today we have another FFXIV: ARR article from the dev blog for you to read. We have quoted the new info below.

Greetings, everyone!
Bayohne here with a look at the excitement that was the London Fan Festival, held on Saturday, October 25, 2014!

The event was held at the “Tobacco Dock,” a location that instantly gave an Eorzean vibe!

It even looks like some ships from Limsa Lominsa have docked here! Lots of adventurers are nearby and excited to get into the show.

The venue had two floors, and featured activities spread all around the place.

They also had a bucking Behemoth ride! Attendees could try for the best time and the top 3 would win additional prizes! If I remember correctly… the top time was over 3 minutes!

The biggest in-game challenge area featured the new Odin battle!

There was an aesthetician room!
Attendees could have their hairstyle changed, or even have their face painted, by these lovely ladies.

The goldsmith area let attendees craft their own jewelry!

The alchemy room also let them mix their own unique aromas (that sounds weird, but trust me it was really interesting)!

Lots of attendees visited the archery area and tried shooting the balls out of the air.

For those who know how frantic playing a monk can be, there was a reflex testing game! (It really tired me out…)

There was also a maze-like minigame that was created to give our would-be rogues a challenge.

No event would be complete without a green screen photography area that whisked you away to Eorzea!

Spriggans! There was a fun game where you could finally toss rocks at THEM!

It was hard to fit in the time to do all of these fun events it one day! Then there’s these two…

So that’s the activities, but what else happened at the event? Stage events!

A mysterious black mage takes the stage…

Turns out it was Yoshi-P!

This was the costume that was used in the European FFXIV commercial the previous year, and luckily it fit Yoshida perfectly!

But enough about Yoshida’s costume – let’s take a look at the amazing costumes that our attendees wore!

The Tokyo Fan Festival will also feature a costume contest, and attendees planning to dress up will want to keep an eye on the Lodestone in the future for details!

Next up is the Tokyo Fan Festival in December! (Luckily we get to get some rest before then…)

By the way…Koji said he’d pay me not to share this picture of him… Too bad! Where did he find this thing anyway?

Here’s Assistant Director Takai trying on the black mage mask… For some reason, it appears quite different from Yoshida.
