I hope you are all enjoying Patch 5.3!
I know I am!
It’s only been a few days since 5.3 released but the excitement continues as the Yo-kai Watch: Gather One, Gather All collaboration event returns Wednesday, August 19.
While the event has appeared before, this time we’re introducing new weapons and minions, as well as a new mount. Those of you fond of showing off your glowing Whisper A-go-go will definitely want to get your hands on this spiffy new mount!
But that’s not all! In this updated version of the event, the number of Yo-kai Medals required for weapons and minions has been lowered!
Whether you’ll be enjoying the collaboration event for the first time or a medal collecting veteran, we hope this new Jibanyan-themed mount entices you to collect all the medals.
Honestly… There’s a LOT to do in Patch 5.3!
Event Period
From Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 1:00 a.m. (PDT) to the release of Patch 5.4
How to Participate
Speak with the Poor-heeled Youth in Ul’dah – Steps of Thal (X:9.2 Y:9.1) to begin.
* If you’ve already completed this quest, you don’t need to do it again. You can start collecting medals by simply equipping the Yo-kai Watch.
* The Yo-kai Watch can be repurchased from the Calamity salvager in each city-state.
Once you’ve completed the quest, you’re ready to start collecting some Yo-kai Medals!
Yo-kai Medals can be obtained by completing FATEs in certain areas while equipped with the Yo-kai Watch*.
* Eastern La Noscea, Northern Thanalan, Coerthas Central Highlands, Mor Dhona, and all Shadowbringers areas are excluded.
After you have collected enough Medals, speak with the Wandering Executive at the Gold Saucer (X:5.2 Y:6.9) to receive the Yo-kai of your choice!
Here we can see everyone’s favorite Yo-kai, Jibanyan! ♪
He looks like he came straight out of the world of Yo-kai Watch! Isn’t he cute?!
Now let’s take a look at the Yo-kai Watch on the adorable Lalafell’s wrist!
Fans of the series will recognize this designed based on the Yo-kai Watch Dream!
This colorful, eye-catching design could even be used in your favorite glamours. We’re in the middle of summer, so how about using it with your favorite summertime outfits?
Once you’ve befriended some Yo-kai, then it’s time to work on collecting Legendary Yo-kai Medals to exchange for collaboration weapons. Earn Legendary Yo-kai Medals by participating in FATEs in certain areas while accompanied by the Yo-kai of the weapon you’d like to acquire!
You can get detailed information on the target areas through the Yo-kai Medallium found in the Collection from within the Duty category.

I wanna give a heads up about this but be sure you’re in the correct location with the correct minion by your side! It really matters a lot!
Event Rewards
Next up, I’d like to show you the new weapons and minions added for the new jobs that have been introduced in this returning event♪ You can find information on the other rewards on the special site.
â–¼Weapon: Gunblade of the Yo-kai King / Minion: Lord Enma
â–¼Weapon: Rapier of the Serpent Lord / Minion: Lord Ananta
â–¼Weapon: Katana of the King’s Counsel / Minion: Zazel
â–¼Weapon: Glaives of the Dark Princess / Minion: Damona
Each weapon’s design is so appealing! It really makes it difficult to decide which ones to obtain first… (/think) Maybe I’ll aim for the Katana of the King’s Counsel first, but I love how unique they all are and the colors on each are so vibrant! Also, these new minions are almost like figurines and I bet they would tug at any collector’s heartstrings.
Last but certainly not the least, here are the three different mounts you can obtain on your journey to collect all the Yo-Kai rewards!
â–¼Mount: Whisper-go / Whisper A-go-go / Jibanyan Couch
The Jibanyan Couch is the new mount that was added in this event and let me tell ya, it has such an overwhelming presence!
Let me give you a brief rundown on the requirements to obtain these unique mounts:
â–¼Whisper-go: Acquire 13 different Yo-kai minions
â–¼Whisper A-go-go: Acquire 13 different Yo-kai-themed weapons
â–¼Jibanyan Couch: Acquire all 17 different Yo-kai-themed weapons

However, I’d like to point out that there’s some other fun elements, like the Wandering Executive conversing with the Wandering Minstrel. It’s definitely a nice small bonus to experience within this collaboration.
