Thanalan is the region located outside of Ul'dah. It contains lots of low level monsters designed for starting players. The region contains the dungeon areas of Copperbell Mines and Nanawa Mines.

Copperbell Mines can be accessed from a tunnel near Camp Nophica's Wells towards the south of the map. In-game you will find it at grid reference 19,29. Nanawa Mines is located near near Camp Black Brush towards the centre of the map at grid reference 27,20.
