The Tam-Tara Deepcroft (Hard)   The Stone Vigil (Hard)   Hullbreaker Isle

Tam-Tara Deepcroft Hard Mode is an end-game dungeon added during patch 2.3. It requires an item level of 70 or above to enter and rewards players with ilevel 80 equipment. The dungeon is found within the Central Shroud and is accessible upon completion of Tam-Tara Deepcroft normal mode and the quest "The Ultimate Weapon". You can then take on the quest "Corpse Groom", which is given by Paiyo Reiyo in Ul'dah - Steps of Nald (X:12 Y:8).

Boss Guide

On the way to bosses you may notice some mobs that are tethered to another mob - these must be killed before you can kill the "parent" monster. There are also some monsters that will spawn other monsters until they die, and some monsters that are spawned from opening coffins.

As with most dungeons in the game, there are three bosses within Tam-Tara Hard Mode. None of them are very difficult for a decently geared party however they may pose a challenge if tackled closer to the ilevel 70 entry requirements.

Liavinne

Liavinne is the first boss within Tam-Tara Deepcroft Hard and the main mechanic in this fight are the adds he will summon at three points within the fight. The mechanic begins with one player being targeted with an icon above their head. Adds will spawn and will be attracted to this player. He should kite them around the arena.

Meanwhile, another player will receive an icon above their head (called Tantrum) indicating that they will be hit with a rain of arrows. This player should join up with the kiter and kill all of the adds since the rain of arrows damages the adds as well as you.

You can kill the adds with normal attacks but unless you are very over geared for the fight it is best not to. This is because when you kill the Best Man monsters they apply a stacking debuff to the fight that increases the party's vulnerability. This means you take more damage and it can quickly result in a wipe.

There's nothing more to this one, just DPS it and deal with this mechanic until it dies.

Spare Body

Spare Body is another simple fight with only one main mechanic to worry about. This comes in the form of bubbles that you must pop by running into them. Called Nameless Spirits, these will spawn three times during the fight. It is not wise to have just one player deal with them as they hurt and the player could die, but if shared then the damage can be healed easily or even mitigated (BLM's Manaward will mitigate the damage for almost two of them).

The idea is that these do not reach the boss, because if they do then the boss will grow in size and deal more damage. Most likely this would eventually end up in more damage than you can handle and wipe the group.

The boss will also use a ground AoE ability called Cloudcover that is fairly easy to avoid. You will take damage over time if you are inside it.

An NPC called Paiyo Reiyo sits at the edge of the arena and can be healed, but I'm not sure if keeping him alive is a necessity to win the fight.

Avere Bravearm

As this is the final boss within the dungeon you can expect the difficulty is slightly more than that of the previous two bosses. It is all about dodging attacks directed at you and killing adds quickly.

You will notice some black portals dotted around the outside of the arena. These can't be interracted with and their only purpose is to spawn monsters outside of the arena that can deal damage inside. As you might expect you will not be able to target these monsters since they are outside the arena. You must carefully dodge their attacks, and I say carefully because the Desolation attack (which is a straight line attack) can have many firing off at once in different directions leaving few safe spots. Other monsters will deal a circular AoE attack which is a lot easier to avoid.

When it comes to adds, this is pretty much a DPS race. You need to kill them before they reach Avere Bravearm otherwise they apply a stacking buff for her next move - Red Wedding. Red Wedding deals damage based on the amount of Groom-to-be monsters that reach her. Each one lights up a letter of her first name on the floor and if all five light up then the party is likely to wipe to Red Wedding. This mechanic is similar to the one you dealt with in Haukke Manor Hard Mode. Luckily they do not have much HP, so the key is being alert and picking them off as soon as they spawn.

The only other thing you should be aware of is that there is a ground DoT on the floor in the middle of the arena where Edda is sitting. You should avoid stepping into it whenever possible.
